Terms of Service

Terms for using ESMFold2 Tools hosted prediction and browser-local utilities

2026/06/06

Introduction

These Terms govern your use of ESMFold2 Tools, including browser-local learning tools and the invite-only hosted ESMFold2 prediction beta. By using the service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Acceptable Use Policy.

ESMFold2 Tools is not operated by Biohub, EvolutionaryScale, GitHub, Hugging Face, Nature, or any linked third party. Third-party names are used only to identify sources and tools.

Hosted Prediction

Hosted prediction lets signed-in users submit a single-chain protein sequence for GPU-backed ESMFold2 prediction. During beta, supported submissions are limited to standard amino acid sequences from 16 to 700 residues.

Hosted prediction is a computational service. Outputs are predictions, not experimentally validated structures. Do not use outputs for clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or regulated decisions without independent expert review and experimental validation.

Credits And Billing

Hosted prediction uses paid credits. The current beta pricing is:

  • 12 credits for sequences up to 400 residues.
  • 28 credits for sequences from 401 to 700 residues.

Credits may be sold through credit packages and may expire based on the package terms shown at checkout. There is no lifetime or unlimited GPU prediction plan.

If a job is blocked by safety screening, provider configuration, rate limiting, or service failure before a successful result is produced, credits are not charged or are refunded. Successful predictions are not automatically refundable, except where required by law.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to submit any sequence.
  • Avoiding confidential, regulated, third-party, pathogen, toxin, or other prohibited sequences unless you are authorized and the use complies with the Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Reviewing official model and platform terms before relying on workflows.
  • Keeping account access secure.

Acceptable Use

Hosted prediction is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. We screen submissions for prohibited biological agents, toxins, and weaponization-related content. We may reject submissions, refund credits, suspend accounts, or cooperate with lawful requests when needed.

Data And Retention

Hosted prediction processes submitted sequences and returns prediction outputs. Retention and deletion practices are described in the Privacy Policy. By submitting a prediction, you accept the policy versions shown at submission time.

Availability

The beta may be rate-limited, invite-only, temporarily unavailable, or disabled when the provider, budget, safety, or compliance gate is not healthy. We may change limits, pricing, or supported sequence lengths as benchmark and safety evidence changes.

Limitation Of Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for scientific, clinical, business, or regulatory decisions made from prediction outputs.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
