Acceptable Use Policy

Acceptable use rules for ESMFold2 Tools hosted prediction

2026/06/06

Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to hosted prediction, where you submit a protein sequence and ESMFold2 Tools runs a GPU-backed structure prediction.

Because hosted prediction processes biological sequence data, users must follow safety, legal, and abuse-prevention rules. You must accept this policy before each hosted prediction run.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use ESMFold2 Tools to:

  • Design, develop, produce, acquire, or support biological weapons, controlled pathogens, toxins, or any activity intended to harm humans, animals, plants, or the environment.
  • Submit sequences of, derived from, or intended to support controlled biological agents or toxins, including items on relevant Select Agents, toxins, sanctions, export-control, or biological control lists.
  • Evade biosafety screening, rate limits, access controls, or abuse-prevention controls.
  • Make clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or regulated claims from computational prediction outputs.
  • Misrepresent prediction outputs as experimentally validated results or as official Biohub or EvolutionaryScale outputs.
  • Resell access, overload the service, scrape protected endpoints, or submit on behalf of a barred party.

Screening And Enforcement

Every hosted prediction submission is screened before provider execution. Matches are rejected without charge or with a full credit refund, and screening events are logged with the list version for auditability.

Automated screening reduces but does not eliminate risk. We may review submissions, suspend accounts, enforce daily and concurrent limits, or cooperate with authorities where legally required.

Reporting

Report suspected misuse to hi@esmfold2.com or through the contact page.

Changes

We may update this policy as legal, safety, or provider requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
